Unboxing Nostalgia: Exploring the GI Joe Playset Alpha Check Point at The Outpost

Welcome to The Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the GI Joe Playset Alpha Check Point. I think we can all agree this is an awesome piece to set up and make some cool dioramas with. This is not one I had as a kid but always admired. It is simple yet complex. Anyone who had the 1983 GI Joe base certainly loved this as an entrance to base. I’m not sure why Hasbro hasn’t tapped into small playsets as I would pick them up for dioramas for sure. I remember they had a few for the 25th style but nothing like the eighties stuff.

I think it would be cool just to put out some sandbags or something like that. I guess those gifted people will have fun creating their own scenes with scaled props and backgrounds. Who had the Alpha Check Point as a kid? Make sure to check back next week for the next chapter at The Outpost.
