Venom and Mrs. Chen Steal the Show in ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Trailer Debut!

The iconic phrase “We are Venom” is set to be heard one final time in Venom: The Last Dance. The first trailer for this highly anticipated conclusion to the Venom trilogy has been released, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the Lethal Protector’s final journey. The trailer not only hints at Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Venom’s whereabouts since Spider-Man: No Way Home but also teases the epic challenges they will face.
The trailer reveals Venom venturing outside San Francisco to tackle his greatest challenge yet. Pursued by military operatives (portrayed by Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor), the symbiote hero discovers that more beings from Venom’s home planet are arriving on Earth, threatening to take over. This final installment promises a blend of action and humor, featuring a dance scene with Mrs. Chen (Peggy Lu), witty exchanges with criminals, and even a symbiote horse.
In the original Venom film, Eddie Brock, a down-on-his-luck reporter, finds his life upended after an interview goes awry. When he investigates suspicious experiments at the Life Foundation, Eddie accidentally bonds with a homicidal alien symbiote named Venom. Despite their clashing personalities, with Eddie’s good nature conflicting with Venom’s appetite for human flesh, they team up to defeat the Life Foundation’s villainous CEO, Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed).
The sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, introduces Eddie and Venom to the dangerous serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson). After Kasady bites Eddie, he becomes the host for a new, more violent symbiote known as Carnage. Eddie and Venom manage to kill Carnage, but not without becoming fugitives and fleeing San Francisco.
In the post-credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Eddie and Venom are transported into the multiverse due to the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. They briefly enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, witnessing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man battle some of his most notorious enemies. However, Peter Parker reverses the spell that brought Eddie and Venom into the MCU before they can meet him, sending them back to their universe, though a small piece of the Venom symbiote remains in the MCU.
Venom: The Last Dance is set to premiere in theaters on October 25th, 2024. Watch the trailer in the player above and check out the film poster below.
