Wade Encounters His Multiverse Counterparts in Fresh ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer
With just 10 days until the release of Marvel Studios’ sole movie of 2024, promotional efforts have kicked into high gear. The official Marvel X account has dropped a new trailer for “Deadpool & Wolverine,” packed with mostly fresh footage and introducing two newly confirmed characters. While an earlier trailer hinted at Lady Deadpool, this latest preview builds on that by opening with a similar shot and then zooming in closer, stopping just before revealing her face. We also get glimpses of Cowboy Deadpool, with shots of cowboy boots and a classic western holster complementing the Merc with a Mouth’s iconic red suit.
The trailer showcases Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson cracking jokes at Wolverine’s expense, including a quip about Disney making him continue the role until he’s 90. Yukio and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (or “Longest Name Ever,” as you might prefer) join in the fun, ribbing Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) about his hairpiece. Though the trailer is brimming with new scenes, it’s a blend of humor and puns that spares no character from being mocked. While this trailer doesn’t reveal any major cameos, those wanting a completely unspoiled viewing experience might still want to avoid it to savor every surprise on the big screen with a tub of popcorn.
