1990 Hammerhead

Welcome to the Outpost friends. The 1990 G.I.Joe Hammerhead is a large Cobra vehicle which came with the pilot Decimator. This is another vehicle I discovered as a collector. It is a pretty awesome vehicle in my opinion. First off I like Decimator. He looks pretty cool nothing too crazy and I like the color scheme. The underlying yellow seems like it is a wetsuit and the helmet is a little funky, but it is unique, and it is removable so I’ll take it for what it’s worth. The vehicle itself is a great unit with many detachable smaller vehicles. First the large vehicle itself is a land to sea vehicle, so it is easy to transport all the other smaller vehicles to the water. The first and largest of the detachable vehicles are the 2 mini subs one each side of the Hammerhead.

These one maned subs are very cool looking on their own and even cooler being able to detach from the larger portion. Then there are 2 hydro sleds on each side which look like they would only be for on top of the water but if you had an Eel or Undertow I suppose these could dive in shallow water. Then the last detachable vehicle is the main cockpit. This I thought was another sub, but I caught an episode of G.I. Joe the other day and had this taking off and flying away. Inside is some pretty nice detail. Underneath the cockpit is a stand that rises to reveal four missiles. The rest of the vehicle and mini vehicles are loaded with missiles and guns so this is ready to battle anyone and at a large scale.

There are also 2 seats in the front of the vehicle with canopies and double cannons to operate. The final feature is a door that slides back behind the cockpit to hold another diver or 2. I also thought this could double as a prison hold for any Joes captured along the way. I would say the vehicle could hold Over all this is a great large vehicle. My son and I had some great playtime over the past few years with it. Is the ‘Hammerhead’ one of your favorite vehicles? Let us know AFTER THE JUMP! Till tomorrow……….
