G.I. Joe Underappreciated Featuring ‘Raptor’!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at an under appreciated G.I. Joe Cobra figure that I had as a kid and I thought he was really cool, the 1987 Raptor. I always loved the uniqueness of the characters especially in the later eighties. One of the most distinct features of Raptor is that big honking nose. I love the design of his outfit especially his cape. I always assumed he could fly with his cape but I’m not sure now, I think this is just cosmetic. It would have been a cool feature to fly, I guess in my world he can use his cape to fly.

They did do one modern version of Raptor but they cheeped out on his cape. I thought the figure was cool but I passed on all the overpriced lines of the late 2000’s. Raptor did make it into the comics but was never in an animated series. I think he would have been a cool character to see. I personally would love to see him in 6 inch scale. We got a Croc Master so why not get a cool Raptor. Who loves Raptor? Share your opinions with us in the comments. Make sure to check back for our next discussion.

He looks liked Birds of War from Always Sunny. I think he gets a lot of unneeded hate.
I always saw him working with the twins midweek in banking then dressing up for Cobra lodge at the weekend. Finally he can be himself.
