This has been a sad week for the G.I. Joe community. The end of an era for G.I. Joe is upon us my friends. In what has been long-rumored, Fun Publications (a.k.a. Fun Pub) posted a statement (via their Facebook Page) this past week–that all but puts the nail in the coffin for the company’s alliance with Hasbro, and in effect, their Transformers and G.I. Joe club memberships. Sent out by Brian from Fun Pub on Monday… Some are remaining slightly optimistic that there is still hope and could get…

The speculation has been swirling about whether there would be any new G.I.Joe’s in 2016, and it is now official from Hasbro that outside of a yet to be announced SDCC Exclusive and Kindle Worlds Novel figure, there will be ‘NO’ new G.I.Joe products in 2016. At the 2016 Toy Fair Investor and Press Day Hasbro discussed the future or lack thereof of the G.I.Joe brand. It seems, like many of us have thought, thatG.I.Joe is going to be a Movie Tie-In brand only. As with most action figure lines nowadays, there is a direct movie tie-in to make the line successful. Hasbro did not mention any plans for producing G.I.Joe products in 2016. What is your opinion about G.I.Joe being a movie property with a toy tie-in rather than an ongoing toy line? Let us…
