FireAid Concert Raises Funds for California Wildfire Victims with Legendary Performances

Story by Mitchell Smith

Hello everybody, today I’m taking a look at the FireAid concert put together to raise money for the victims of the recent California fires that devastated many families who lost their homes. The concert brought out modern artists like Billy Eilish who performed with Green Day to open the show, Jelly Roll, and Olivia Rodrigo. The concert also brought out some Rock and Roll legends like Rod Stewart and Stevie Knicks. Along with a few other legendary performers the concert brought out Stevie Wonder, John Fogerty, Pink, The Black Crows, Dr Dre, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, No Doubt ,

Alanis Morrissette, Katie Perry, Lady Gaga, Sting, and among many more Joni Michelle. Stephen Stills and Graham Nash had a Mini reunion and the big shocker was Nirvana back together as they performed 4 songs using 4 different female artists. St.Vincent, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, the legendary Joan Jett, and Dave Grohl’s daughter Violet all performed beautifully filling in for the Late Great Kurt Cobain. The first responders were also thanked profusely as they put their lives on the line every day in efforts to stop the fires from devastating any more neighborhoods.

There were also victims who talked about their experiences with the fires and Billy Crystal reassured us we would all laugh again. The concert can be watched on many social media outlets so make sure to check out some of the legendary performances by some of the greatest artists. Have a great week everyone.
