G.I.Joe ‘Sonic Fighters Dial-Tone’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into a 1990 G.I.Joe Sonic Fighters character. The Sonic Fighter figures came with electronic back packs that had sound and light. For the most part the packs were a bit over sized but cool. Dial-Tone is one of the original Sonic Fighters and this is a fitting pack because he is a telecommunications specialist, so the pack just looks right.

I was a little surprised that Mainframe didn’t make it into the Sonic lineup but maybe that’s something for the future. Either way Dial-Tone looks great with a blue and silver uniform. This figure also looks great with Skydive and some of the other Sky Patrol crew. This is just a great looking repaint and his gear looks pretty cool.

This is a cool line and I’m happy to have these in my collection. This is probably something we will never get a 6 inch version of but this is a nice spin on a classic character and I would love to see some modern style Sonic Fighters at retail.
