Hasbro Reveals Exclusive Transformers Comic-Inspired Shockwave and Grimlock Action Figures

Hasbro has just launched a thrilling addition to its Transformers lineup, featuring exclusive Shockwave and Grimlock figures directly inspired by the original Transformers comic book series. Harkening back to the golden era of Transformers, the original comic series ran from 1984 to 1991 under Marvel’s banner. These newly released figures of Shockwave and Grimlock are designed to capture the essence of that iconic period.
As Transformers celebrates its 40th anniversary, these figures are adorned with special branding and artwork from notable Transformers comic covers: Transformers #5 featuring Shockwave in the “Are All Dead” storyline and Transformers #8’s “And Now The Dinobots!” Each box showcases this distinctive art, making them a must-have for collectors.

TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS COMIC EDITION SHOCKWAVE ($39.99): This 7-inch Shockwave action figure, with its roots in the original TRANSFORMERS comic series, transforms from robot to Cybertronian spaceship in 15 steps. It features a design that looks like it leaped right out of a comic book, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the TRANSFORMERS’ comic debut. This figure includes articulation in the head, arms, and legs for dynamic poses, and comes with the head of Optimus Prime, which can be displayed on the included stand.
TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS COMIC EDITION GRIMLOCK ($59.99): The 8.5-inch Grimlock figure, a leader of the formidable Dinobots and known for his impulsive battle style, also originates from the TRANSFORMERS comic series. It converts from robot to T.rex mode in 22 steps and mirrors the comic book style with precise deco and black line hatching. In celebration of the 40th comic anniversary, Grimlock is equipped with articulation for various poses and comes with 3 swords, a double-barreled blaster, and a crown accessory.
