Jurassic World: Rebirth Review – Dino Thrills, Nostalgic Chills, and a Few Spills!

Story by Mitchell Smith
Hello everybody. Today I’m taking a look at the new Jurassic World Rebirth. Overall this a pretty good movie. This was written by David Koepp who co-wrote the original 1993 film. There are some dull and strange parts all to try and build a backstory on the characters. The CGI is really cool and the dinosaurs once again are brought right into our living room. There are some tense moments that keep you on the edge of your seat and a few jump scares. There is a maturing agent there for the characters that get trapped on the abandoned island of dinosaurs.
Everyone has their own issues but all that goes out the window as they work together to escape as they are being hunted by several new species of dinosaurs. There were several nods to the original Jurassic Park movie and this one is completely different, but sprinkles moments in to try and capture the original feel. Scarlett Johansson was the big pull for this movie and she did a great job along with other actors such as Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali. I think this is one you have to watch a few times and it will grow on you.
Maybe it’s overkill maybe it’s just the comparison to the original masterpiece, but it’s sits in the middle somewhere. If you don’t want to drop the theater cash this one is well worth checking out once it drops on streaming, but if you want a good family night out it’s pretty cool on the big screen. Have a great week everybody.
