New ‘Zoolander 2’ Promo Photos are In!

Forget ‘Blue Steel’, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are back as Derek Zoolander and Hansel, in the epic sequel to one of the funniest movies of their career. Check out the new promo shots we have for you today for ‘Zoolander 2‘, and let us know what you think after the JUMP!

If Derek Zoolander is known for anything in his career as a male model, it’s making his presence known to the world in increasingly ridiculous ways. Crashing Paris Fashion Week was just the beginning for the legendary man of multiple looks, as he and his former foe turned friend, Hansel, have been spotted in front of the most famous Paris landmark of them all. Brace yourself, France; because Derek and Hansel are doing the Eiffel Tower.

The official Valentino Facebook page dropped a set of four photos, showcasing the two hot male models “on location” in front of the famous tourist sight. As you can see, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson posted with a Paris backdrop, and took the time to exercise some of their karate moves:

Fashion talk aside, Zoolander 2’s meta-marketing strategy is perfectly suited to the tone of the 2001 original, which lampooned everything from the VH1 Fashion Awards to catwalk dance offs – with a little bit of David Bowie to sweeten the pot for everyone. From the looks of these photos, Derek and Hansel are still in the modeling game, and they’re as hot as ever. Though come to think of it, does the fact that Derek and Hansel are back in the modeling world mean that something big has happened to draw them back in? Could this mean that something has happened to The Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can’t Read Good and Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too? Perhaps Derek and Matilda’s son has been abducted, or has decided to leave the family business? Are the whispers of Mugatu’s return true? We still haven’t seen or heard any details about is the threat that Zoolander 2 will introduce to disrupt Derek and Hansel’s lives this time around, but whatever it is, it’s starting to look serious.

Whatever circumstances have brought Derek and Hansel back into the modeling fold, Zoolander 2 looks to be the comedy event of next winter, with a February 12, 2016 release date. Of course, this is the same day that Deadpool is dropping into theaters, so there’s a good possibility that we’ll see the long awaited sequel bounced to a more advantageous date. If all remains unchanged, it’ll be a Valentine’s weekend to remember!
