John Hughes’ WEIRD SCIENCE Is Getting a 4K UHD Blu-Ray Release For The First Time!

Fans of the 1980’s John Hughes classic ‘Weird Science‘ we have some exciting news for you today. The film is getting an all new 4K UHD Blu-Ray release for the very first time. For those unfamiliar with the film, The 1985 feature is based on the 1951 pre-Code comic “Made of the Future” by Al Feldstein, and focuses on a pair of bullied teens (played by Anthony Michael Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith) who decide to create their perfect woman using a computer and some hacked U.S. Government files. Will you be picking up this new copy of the film? “Teen misfits Gary (Anthony Michael Hall) and Wyatt (Ilan Mitchell-Smith) design their ideal woman on a computer, and a freak electrical accident brings her to life in the form of the lovely, superhuman Lisa (Kelly LeBrock). She outfits Gary and Wyatt in cool clothes, surprises them with a Porsche and helps them stand up to jerks Ian (Robert Downey Jr.) and Max (Robert Rusler). But, all the while, the boys must hide Lisa’s existence from Chet (Bill Paxton), Wyatt’s nightmare of a big brother.”
