Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m going to get into one of my favorite holiday episodes of G.I.Joe, Cobra Claws Are Coming to Town. This is a great episode that puts some of the best early characters together at Christmas time. As the Joe team seeks to spread holiday cheer with gifts for the little ones, Cobra infiltrates the Joe base and set out to give G.I.Joe a bad name by attacking the city with Joe vehicles. The Joes rally with Cobra vehicles and a very large Polly to clear their name and save…

New G.I.Joe Retro ‘Destro’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Over the weekend I was able to get my hands on the new G.I.Joe retro Destro. From what I can tell this is a repacked 2014 figure, so I don’t see what is retro about that other then the packaging he comes in. I’m not complaining about the figure as this is a great looking Destro and I did not buy this back in 2014, just the retro part throws me off. This figure comes with a cool briefcase and a very cool pistol with a removable scope. Over…

Another month in the books and the dreaded 2020 is quickly coming to an end. The Queen’s Gambit is a Netflix mini series that was release back in October. I had a chance to watch it over the past couple of weeks and I was pleasantly surprised. The Main character Beth Harmon becomes an orphan in the 1950’s. She finally gets adopted in here teens and enters to compete in chess tournaments in a heavily male dominated game. Beth sets out to prove that a female can compete with the best in the world.…

G.I.Joe ‘2006-2007 Vehicles’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

November 29, 2020November 29, 2020 Serpentorslair StaffG.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. This week we are discussing G.I.Joe vehicles from 2006 and I’ll lump in 2007 as well. G.I.Joe had made a full come back earlier in the decade and 2006 had come to a slow down only producing 5 vehicles. Although there were still quite a few figures many Joe fans were unsure of the future of G.I. Joe. I know I was finding some of the early 2000 figures at secondary stores and I wasn’t really into collecting vehicles at the time. The first vehicle was a repaint and the only…

G.I.Joe ‘Phantom X-19’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

November 27, 2020November 27, 2020 Serpentorslair StaffG.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into one of the coolest G.I. Joe jets ever made, the Phantom X-19. Not as recognizable as the original Skystriker, or even the Conquest, as both of these were heavily used in the cartoon especially for the intro scenes, but just as awesome as both of them. Phantom X-19 is still a very cool jet, and holds it’s popularity today. My 2 older brothers were well into their teen years in 1988, the year this was introduced. I was still young enough to get one of…
