The G.I.Joe Recon Sled Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into the 1986 G.I.Joe L.C.V. Recon Sled. 1986 was a pivotal year for G.I.Joe. Coming off a year where we got a massive U.S.S. Flagg, Mauler, and Snow Cat to name a few, 1986 was like following up a Super Bowl win. It’s hard to do 2 years in a row. 1986 did post some awesome stuff like the Havoc, Night Raven, and the Terror Drome, but some of the smaller vehicles may have been looked over.

The L.C.V. Recon Sled was one I received for Christmas this year and I always liked this one for its unique design. It wasn’t a motorcycle yet it was a futuristic looking motorcycle. As a kid I thought this one was really cool. There is a little fire power there but this is meant to sneak in collect enemy data then sneak back to Joe base to report. I think this is a prime candidate for a modern upgrade. One of the features most disliked on this vehicle is the front tires that do not move.

This would be an awesome vehicle if those front tires moved and this vehicle could move through rough terrain to gather info. Over all this is a solid small vehicle that probably gets over looked as one of the great classic Vehicles that gets overlooked. Who loves this vehicle? Who wants a modern update. Sound off below and let us know AFTER THE JUMP! Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
