Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking one more tank. The G.I.Joe Cobra H.I.S.S. II. This is one I had as a child and it was one really cool tank. It was a little bit bigger which allowed this to be a tank and a personnel carrier for Cobra. This tank holds 2 in the cockpit, one in the top cannon, and 4+ figures can go in the rear. This was a cool design. Rather then the cockpit opening from the top it opens from the bottom. The cannon is really…

Read MoreSaturday June 6th marked the 76th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy. I had a few discussions about various tanks this week and mainly for my Grandfather who landed in Normandy on the 6th with the 5th Armored division and marched into Germany. I think this a good time to reflect on those men who marched together to stop an evil. Men from all walks of life stood together and back home men and women worked making military vehicles and supplies. People rationed what they had to send food and supplies to our…

This is one I did not have as a kid, but I wanted one really bad. It wasn’t till a few years ago I saw for the first time a Mauler. Minus the antennas it was complete and I made it mine.. Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. I’m sticking with G.I.Joe tanks again today but this time I’m going to get into the Cobra Hiss. This was a beautiful design. The Hiss looks really bad-ass and non like the Mobat it holds multiple figures. One in the cockpit, one in the signature double cannon, and 2 standing on the rear. The Hiss was introduced in 1983 and has been a staple in the Cobra Lineup. The mold has been used many times over the years in different colors and in modern 25th style. This is just…
