G.I. JOE INSIDE THE FILE CARDS FEATURING “GRUNT”!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Today’s featured G.I. Joe is Grunt (my first Joe). Grunt is listed as “Infantry” for PMS and “Small Arms Armorer” and “Artillery Coordinator” as his SMS. The codename “Grunt” to me signifies that he has always been just a “grunt”. However with the addition of small arms armorer and artillery coordinator that to me would indicate he is more than just a typical “grunt”. An “artillery coordinator” sounds very much like a US Army MOS 13F Fire Support Specialist. These are the soldiers that sneak in close to enemy lines…

TRANSFORMERS G2 Legacy Evolution “Jazz” Quick Review!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , , 0 comment

Story by Mitchell Smith Hello everyone. Today I am taking a look at the newly released Transformers G2 Legacy Evolution Jazz from Hasbro. The original Jazz is awesome, and I thought this orange, red, and yellow version really popped. The colors seemed fitting for Jazz. I’ve seen a couple others with some bright colors repainted and it was like what was Hasbro thinking, but this one was pretty cool. I like it better in robot mode as opposed to the car mode, but either way this is a cool looking…

G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING “DOWNTOWN”!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a G.I. Joe figure from 1989, Downtown. This is a solid character that I believe is under appreciated. From what I can see he was slightly used in the cartoon and comics. I had the original Mortar soldier Short-Fuze and he was awesome. I also had Downtown who got his name on the basketball court. 3 pointers weren’t as popular back when this character was created but Hama had the right idea when he wrote his file card. Downtown is…

G.I. Joe Dr. Mindbender Goes Classified!

Serpentorslair Staff, , , , 0 comment

Story by Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the new G.I. Joe Classified Dr. Mindbender. This is one of my all time favorite Cobra characters and I lost my original in 1986 but soon replaced him with a clone. When I saw this one announced I was super stocked. “Arise Serpentor Arise” is one of my favorite mini series in the GI Joe franchise, so I got my hands on this figure as soon as I could. It has taken a while to sit…

G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING “COLONEL COURAGE”!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 1 Comment

Story by Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a G.I. Joe figure from 1993, Colonel Courage. This is a solid new nineties character that is under appreciated. From what I can see Courage was not in the cartoon or comics. On top of that he only had the 1 version. He fell prey to the 94 fallout. He looks really good with Duke and the rest of the leaders, but I would have loved to see him with, you guessed it a removable helmet.…
