THE POP EXPOSE – ‘Boogie Nights’ by Mitchell Smith!

Hello everyone, today we are talking about the 1997 film Boogie Nights. This is a story of the rise of the pornography industry in the 1970s. Watching it I saw past the porn industry and that of the rise and fall of Hollywood, professional sports, and even high school popularity in American Society. The move has a star studded cast from a young Mark Wahlberg, the late great Burt Reynolds, and the late Robert Downey Sr. Other stars include Julianne Moore, Robert H Macy, Don Cheadle, John C. Reilly, and Heather Graham.

This one may have been one a lot of people skipped do to the 2&1/2 hour movie about the porn industry, but this one is so much deeper if you watch it from start to finish. Eddie Adams played by Wahlberg a young dishwasher gets noticed by Jack Horner played by Reynolds. Jack brings Eddie aboard and into his world that has been around for some time. Eddie makes his way through the industry even impressing people who look as if they have been doing this for 75 years. It’s not one to watch with the kiddos but if you have an adult night this is a movie worth checking out. This was nominated for several wards but honestly I only watched it for the first time this weekend, so be sure to check it out if you get a chance.
