THE POP EXPOSE – Nikola Jokic aka ‘The Joker’!

Well hello everyone. Today I’m talking a look at the Denver Nugget’s Nikola Jokic. Those who may not have watched “The Joker” play during the regular season and maybe have lost interest because your team is out of the playoffs, you are missing a special kind of player. The 6’11” Serbian is a very unique big man. He can set a pick, run the point, and pop a three. If you look at the stat line you may notice the number of assists the big man has. He isn’t bragging about how good he is and he isn’t trying to be the top scorer on the floor. He just wants the right person to take a good shot whether it be he or a player off the bench.
The team comes first. The 2 time MVP looks to wrap up his first NBA championship in Denver Monday Night. They have to get by a pesky Miami Heat team, but they are in prime shape up 3-1. If he pulls it off one may argue he should have won this years regular season MVP, but many skeptics felt it was too soon to rank Jokic up there with some all time greats like Jordan, O’Neill, or Duncan.
Jokic is a hard one to compare though because he can play all 5 spots on the floor. If you have not watched him play you might only get one more chance this year. He isn’t one to make the highlight reels but if you want to watch a selfless player do what is necessary to win, check out some of his past games. He just is some kind of anomaly.
