G.I.Joe ‘Stalker’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Today I want to get into one of the original G.I.Joe characters and one of my all time favorites, Stalker. This is an awesome character who comes with an extended backstory linked to Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.

Stalker was a unique character and the only one to sport camo in the original line up. I had the swivel arm version as a kid that I got second handed so it wasn’t till around 1985 that I got my first Stalker. I did get the 1989 version 2 of him for Christmas though and this was one awesome figure. The uniform was very cool and he came with a ton of gear including his Kayak which I think remains one of the top accessories that came with a carded figure. He has had many upgrades over the years that were also cool, like the 1992, 1997, and the 2004 versions.

There have also been many modern versions such as the 2015, 2007, and 2008 version, but one of my favorite modern upgrades is the 2011 Stalker. He came with some neat gear, but I love the textured shirts, and this one just had a bad ass look to him. Stalker had a couple 12 inch figures. One Sideshows figure and one that I have a couple of the 1992 figure that looked much like the 3-3/4 inch one. I have swapped out for a different uniform and this 12 inch looks great on display in many uniforms. Stalker was a huge part in the cartoon and in the comics.
