G.I.Joe Snow Serpent Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into another G.I.Joe cold weather character that I did not have as a kid but oddly enough, but I had the accessory pack with his blue snow shoes that I still have and that is Snow Serpent. The 1985 Snow Serpent was the first Cobra Snow Trooper. Leading up to 1985 there were many snow battles and G.I. Joe had Snow Job and Frostbite so it was only fitting Cobra had a snow-trooper to fight in the cold weather. The original Snow Serpent looks awesome.

He is completely covered from head to toe and looks like he could take on a Wampa at any time. The original figure had a white uniform with some nice classic Cobra blue highlights including a blue parachute that strapped around his waist. He also has some pretty rad snow shoes and is rounded out with a rifle and a missile that attaches to a very cool and recognizable backpack. The 1991 version is completely different then the 1985 version and somehow I have several of the 1991 only by chance.

There are several other versions including a modern figure that looks much like the 85 version. 2005 also has a cool looking version with a removable helmet. If you are able to army build the Snow Serpent, these set up nice and look great in snow battles. The were used in the cartoon frequently but I’m not sure about the comics. Over all these are awesome snow soldiers and I wish I had more of the original ones. Who army builds Snow Serpents? Which versions to you like best? Sound off AFTER THE JUMP and let us know!
