G.I.Joe ‘Super Sonic Fighters Zap’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!
Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into another 1991 G.I.Joe Super Sonic Fighters figure. Zap was one of my favorite characters growing up but I never had his figure. It wasn’t till I was a collector that I tracked down a straight arm and swivel arm original Zap. He was such a great character and as you all know, I knew very little of the nineties Joes so getting these Joes all together was like reliving my childhood.
So any hoot, the 1991 Sonic Fighters Zap is really cool. The first great thing about this figure is Zap got his signature mustache that he had in the cartoon and comics, but did not have on the original figure. The rest of the figure is pretty cool with a green under garment and silver protective pads on top.
The weapons again are futuristic and he has a large pack that looks like can set up as a computer of some sorts. Zap also comes with a removable helmet so that ups his value right there. Over all this is one of my favorite Sonic Fighters and some day I hope we get some modern versions of this awesome line. Who loves Sonic Zap? Sound off below and let us know!
