Hasbro Talks G.I.Joe at Toy Fair Investor Day!
At the 2016 Toy Fair Investor and Press Day Hasbro discussed the future or lack thereof of the G.I.Joe brand. It seems, like many of us have thought, thatG.I.Joe is going to be a Movie Tie-In brand only. As with most action figure lines nowadays, there is a direct movie tie-in to make the line successful. Hasbro did not mention any plans for producing G.I.Joe products in 2016. What is your opinion about G.I.Joe being a movie property with a toy tie-in rather than an ongoing toy line? Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner had this to say:
“Hasbro’s great brands G. I. Joe, Micronauts, ROM, M.A.S.K and Visionaries. Paramount and Hasbro’s AllSpark Pictures are producing these films which will develop deep stories and great characters as we imagine the future of these brands.”
