G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING 1994 ‘FLINT’!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a G.I.Joe figure that I think is under underappreciated, the 1994 version of Flint. 1985 was a great year and there were a lot of great figures this year. One figure got quite a few versions but this v4 1994 version of Flint seems to be forgotten. This is not one I had as a kid but it is a really cool version. If you are not a fan of the oversized spring projectiles, put that aside along with all…

REVISITING THE 1980’S G.I. Joe Tactical Battle Platform!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Story By Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1985 G.I. Joe Transportable Tactical Battle Platform. I did not have this as a kid and this was probably a bit overlooked because of another large vehicle that year the Flagg. However this is a really cool play set and there are a ton of features and play value along with a nice display value for those who may want to display a wide range of figures and vehicles. I have a few decks now…

G.I. Joe Underappreciated Featuring ‘CROSS-COUNTRY’!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 0 comment

Story By Mitchell Smith Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a G.I. Joe figure and character that I think is underrated . 1985 was or is the hey day for G.I. Joe for many people, but for me the ultimate haul was in 1986. Many may have heard my Night Raven story where I was very disappointed not getting one, but and a big but my mother made it up to me at Christmas. I got many figure and vehicles from this year including the HAVOC…

G.I.JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING THE ‘VIPER GLIDER’!

Serpentorslair Staff, , 1 Comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a G.I. JOE vehicle that I think is under appreciated. The 1983 Cobra Viper is one of those vehicles that’s hard to find mainly because it was designed to be a glider for figures, so these thing were tossed and slammed on the ground so much many are destroyed. I never had one of these but I remember watching the commercial as a kid and thinking how cool it would be to have one of these. To my knowledge they…

G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING ‘STEAMROLLER’!

Serpentorslair Staff, 0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a G.I. Joe figure and character that I think is under appreciated. Steamroller is one of those figures you may or may not of had as a kid. Some how some way my brothers and I had 2, and for the life of me I have neither figure and only a few parts to his massive Mobil Command Center. Either way this is just a really cool figure. First thing that is great is his hat. I’m not sure if…
