Welcome to the Outpost. This week I’m taking a look at the 2000 & 2001 G.I.Joe vehicles. G.I Joe was in a major rebuild at the turn of the millennium. There were a limited amount of vehicles released in these 2 years but eventually someone up-stairs realized that there was a large number of G.I. Joe fans and people wanted Joes. So in 2000 they released the camo colored Mobat again. Then there is the Locust a tan colored Dragonfly which I don’t have one of these but what do I have to say…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into a character that was the first face of evil of the G.I.Joe Universe, and is still going strong today, ‘Cobra Commander‘. Cobra Commander was the first enemy and the reason GI Joe was even needed. The original figure was a really cool mysterious looking figure and the hooded version brought just as many questions as the original. Cobra Commander was a great character back when the cartoon started and he still holds up today. My first Cobra Commander was the 1987 version. I have always loved…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are taking a look at one of my favorite female Joes, Kim Arashikage or originally known as Jinx. Jinx was an awesome character and introduced in the 1987 G.I.Joe The Movie as one of the new recruits. This was the first female figure I got as a kid. She has some awesome weapons including her signature naginata, 2 swords, and a cool backpack that can hold them. The red uniform was unique for the year and the character was Sassy and perhaps not as gorgeous as the previous Joe…

Welcome to the Outpost. This Sunday I’m taking a look at the 1996-1999 G.I.Joe vehicles. G.I.Joe was in a major fall out in the late nineties. 1995 introduced 2 new lines and wrapped up the 3-3/4 inch line tight, went deep in the woods and dug a deep hole to bury it. 1996 was an absolute dude with no vehicles produced. The original Joe fans that grew up with G.I. Joe were now starting families of their own and Were looking for something to pass down to their children. The cry was heard and…

Welcome to the Outpost. I’m sticking with the 1987 G.I.Joes and getting into another one of my favorite childhood figures Sneak Peek. This is one I did have as a kid and I loved him. This is a really cool figure with unique weapons and gear. His big green periscope, Walkie talkie, and a cool rifle with a strap. I think Sneak Peek would have also benefited with a backpack as his file card states he sits out for weeks at a time observing enemy movement. It seems he may need some rations to…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are taking a look at another 1987 G.I.Joe character that didn’t get used much in the cartoon or maybe not at all, but I got this figure as a kid and loved him. Psyche-Out is a Psy-OPs soldier who uses his skills in deceptive warfare. He has a degree in Psychology so I guess he would also be a bonus to the Joe team for anyone suffering from PTSD. I really loved this figure when I got it though. The colors were cool. His pack and accessories were…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are taking a look at G.I.Joe Falcon. Falcon was introduced in the 1987 G.I.Joe: The Movie and was voiced by Don Johnson. Falcon was instantly one of my favorites because Miami Vice was one of my favorite shows at the time. Falcon had an awesome uniform and I loved when he got transferred over to Slaughter to whip him into shape. There have been a number of figure upgrades over the years but the 1987 version has always been my favorite. I love the uniform and the…

Welcome to the Outpost. This week I’m taking a look at the 1995 vehicles. As we all know G.I Joe took and abrupt halt on the 3-3/4 inch figures and vehicles, but did try and launch other lines. They had the Sgt Savage line and the Extreme line. The P-40 Warhawk is a really cool WWII plane. I do have the SGT Savage figures and this would be cool to have. The Iron Panther is a real cool tank, this is another one that would be cool to have. Finally for the…
