Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking about G.I.Joe Cobra Motor viper. 1986 was a great year and there were many cool looking figures and vehicles. The Motor Viper was a cool looking figure and came with one of the coolest concept vehicles. Some may argue this is a dumb vehicle and you wouldn’t last 2 seconds in a gun fight. Let’s face it though as bad as Cobra was at shooting G.I.Joe couldn’t hit the broad side of a Flagg either. The Motor Viper is a cool looking figure.…

Welcome to the outpost. Today we are Building the G.I.Joe Cobra M.A.S.S. Device. The 2008 M.A.S.S. device was an awesome release and fortunately I was able to get every set to build this awesome classic device. There were 5 sets released in total to build the device and they all came with figures and a DVD. This was a cool idea and the finished product is really nice. One of the best parts of the DVD packs were all the amazing figures. Set 1 comes with “The M.A.S.S. Device” DVD, a…

Outback’s Outpost ‘G.I.Joe Frag Viper’ By Mitchell Smith!

March 5, 2021March 5, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1989 G.I.Joe Cobra Frag Viper. This was my last big year for Joes as a kid and this is one I got for Xmas that year. The body of this figure is pretty basic but it works for this guy. The helmet sculpt looks pretty bad ass and the weapons are the main focus of this figure. He has a back pack full of grenades which hook up to the scoop via a hose that is much larger then the…

G.I.Joe ‘Laser Viper’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

March 3, 2021March 3, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are talking G.I.Joe Cobra Laser Viper. The first 1990 Laser Viper was a really cool figure. He comes with a cool pack with 2 laser guns on top. He also has a really cool removable helmet. The Laser Viper has a dark grey suit with slight blue, black, and silver highlights. There are a few upgrades, a 2001 that looks nothing like the original. A really cool Python Patrol version of the original, and a 2017 version. This is a cool looking figure but they just tossed in a Sci-Fi…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are discussing 2017 G.I.Joe vehicles. At this point in the franchise G.I. Joe had moved to an all on line market for figures and vehicles. Although there are some cool vehicles from this year most are way over my price range. First up is the BF 2000 Marauder Snowmobile. I cool looking version of the original Polar Battle Bear. The Vector X-36 Fighter Jet is a very awesome looking vehicle. I would love to have this one but for now I will have to settle for…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking about the 1989 G.I.Joe Cobra Condor. This is one I did not have as a kid and I do not have one in my collection. I do have the pilot the Aero-Viper though. This is a really cool concept jet and splits in the middle to create 2 different jets. I guess you could also use this feature as a Condor that was shot down by a Phantom X-19 as well.I’ve never actually seen one of these in person but it is a pretty…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are discussing 2016 G.I.Joe Vehicles. This was a weak year and all vehicles were convention exclusives. The Air assault Glider Alpha, Bravo, are just repainted versions of the original. The Cobra Hydra is a blue version of the 2003 Sky Sweeper. The Autobot Powerglide is a really cool looking Rattler. This is red and looks like it should be a Crimson jet. The Cobra Jump and The Sky Patrol Jump are simple repaint jet packs. Soundwave is a cool looking Hiss with opening side compartments. This one looks…
