Structo Trucks – Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

April 15, 2021April 15, 2021 Serpentorslair StaffStructo, toy collecting, toy collector0 comment

Hello everyone, I’m Train and today I’m going off the rails, way off the rails. Back before our parents and probably most of our grandparents were even born. In the early 1900s toys were not an easy come by. The Structo Company specialized in making toy trucks. They made everything from Jeep’s to cranes and Corvettes to fire trucks. Growing up in the eighties my grandfather had a dump truck. This was really cool because it had a real hydraulic piston that could dump a load of dirt with a…

G.I.Joe ‘Tiger Force’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

April 11, 2021July 6, 2022 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, Tiger Force, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into the 1988 G.I.Joe Tiger Force sub team figures. I always loved the Tiger Force and I had 2 as a kid. Even though the yellow vehicles are too bright for some peoples liking, this was one of my favorite lines as a kid and still holds today. I had a Tiger Fly and a Tiger Paw as a kid and I loved them both. The 1988 lineup was pretty cool including the Tiger Fly pilot Recondo who is really nice, Frostbite, and…

G.I.Joe ‘Headman’ and ‘Gristle’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

April 8, 2021April 8, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m checking out a couple nineties G.I.Joe characters, Headman and Gristle. It seemed like G.I. Joe was being reinvented much like the 12 inch Adventure Team line. This time they took a stand on drug and crime lords. These were well after my childhood days and I thought they looked really cool when I picked them up as a collector. This line brought new D.E.F. Figures like Bulletproof and the Headhunters as well as reviving classic characters like Mutt and Shockwave. Overall I like the…

Transformers R.E.D. ‘Soundwave’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

April 1, 2021April 1, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, toy collecting, Transformers, Transformers R.E.D.0 comment

Hello everyone. I’m Train, and today I’m going off the rails with the new 2021 Transformers R.E.D. non converting Soundwave action figure. I’m not a big Transformer guy but I loved the cartoon growing up and I watched 1 of the movies and well I’m not a nut about it but I do think they a really cool. It probably has something to do with I never had any Transformers growing up so I don’t have a strong nostalgia connection there. However this figure really reached out and grabbed me…

Which G.I.Joe Vehicles do ‘YOU’ Want To See Released in 2021? Story By Mitchell Smith!

March 28, 2021March 28, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, G.I.Joe Vehicles, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are getting into 2021 G.I.Joe vehicles. So far we have been teased with a sub-par redesigned Cobra Fang. For what I have seen so far on reviews is this comes with a cheap figure that is easily broken and a new design that well looks cool but I would like to get one in hand to see for myself. This one is proving to be as difficult to find as the Retro and 6 inch figures. I’m not sure if there are any other vehicles in the…

Welcome to the Outpost. This week I’m getting into the new G.I.Joe Retro 2020 vehicles. 2018 and 2019 posted giant goose eggs for vehicles. There weren’t many in 2020 either, but the 2 that were released are pretty awesome. First up is the Hiss Tank. The Classic 1983 Tank with a cool version of the Hiss Tank Driver. I hesitated to buy this one and eventually ended up with a few. This is a great vehicle and holds up over time as one of the best if not the best Cobra Vehicle…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1986 G.I. Joe Dreadnok Thunder Machine. This is one I had as a kid and it’s one of my favorite vehicles. This is one unique vehicle and it was featured in the cartoon. This one packs some fire power with 2 Gatling guns on the front. The car looks like it was made by Thrasher in his garage using various pieces from junk cars then a few extra pieces for armor all around the car. The color scheme is awesome…
