The Hidden Hero: ‘Muskrat’ in G.I. JOE – The Underrated Gem You Didn’t Know You Were Missing!”

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a G.I. Joe figure that is under appreciated in my opinion. The 1993 Battle Corp Muskrat is a figure I never hear anything on. This is actually a really cool version. I had the original Muskrat as a kid and I think everyone will agree he is awesome. Somehow I think the 1993 version slipped through the crack. Now he was oddly changed from a jungle/swamp soldier to a heavy fire specialist but the figure itself had potential. There are…

G.I.Joe ‘Barbecue’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a great G.I.Joe character who was popular but kind of faded away. Barbecue is one of the awesome characters from the 1985 hey day. Growing up in a small town I knew lots of people that volunteered on the Fire department and eventually I would put in 5 years as a junior firefighter so it was cool to see Barbecue a part of the Joe team. I also had a 12 inch Firefighter Joe when I was young that was…

Structo Trucks – Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Hello everyone, I’m Train and today I’m going off the rails, way off the rails. Back before our parents and probably most of our grandparents were even born. Growing up in the eighties my grandfather had a dump truck. This was really cool because it had a real hydraulic piston that could dump a load of dirt with a…

G.I.Joe ‘Crankcase’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m checking out one of my favorite G.I.Joe figures from 1985 Crankcase. First off he has a very unique name Elwood G. Indiana. So he has two all time great characters in his name. Indiana Jones and Elwood Blues. Really though his name came from cartoonist Elwood Smith and painter Rob Indiana. Crankcase came with one of the greatest Joe vehicles ever made and he has had 2 upgrades one in 2008 and one in 2020. Both upgrades look cool and I have some pictures…

G.I.Joe ‘Super Sonic Fighters Major Bludd’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into the 1991 G.I.Joe Sonic Fighters Major Bludd. Major Bludd was one of my favorite characters as a kid but I never had his figure till I found the 2000 version around 2003 at Big Lots. This is a brown version of the 1991 version. I loved the 2000 version because it was the first Major Bludd figure I owned. Later as I started collecting I got the 1991 Sonic Fighter Major Bludd complete in a collection I bought. The version 2 is blue with yellow and silver grenades. He…
