The Super Bowl is closing in on us and this year will be a first. The designated stadium will also have its team playing there. I’m not sure it will play a factor but we shall find out. Other firsts will be a Quarterback’s 10th appearance in a Super Bowl. This is an amazing feat as Tom Brady will undoubtable be named the GOAT for anyone who thought he already was not. Brady had all of his success in New England with Coach Bill Belichick.
This is the first Super Bowl with a different team and different head coach. What is it about Brady that gets him there so often? Is it his talent, luck, is it his ability to make everyone around him better? I’m not sure. One thing is for sure Brady will be competing for an unprecedented 7th Super Bowl ring. The years have posted many great Quarterbacks from Terry Bradshaw, Brett Favre, to the next up and coming GOAT Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes seems to have the same magic that Brady has. He came into the league and has had great success and is trying for his second Super Bowl in as many years.
Mahomes seems to have a similar makeup. Talent, luck, and the ability to make everyone around him better. Watching the Pats over the years the games were often hard fought and downright brutal, but Brady found a way to dig it out at the end of the day. Mahomes looks like a finely tuned machine most of the time. It’s hard not to believe that we are looking at a QB with the talent and drive to rival Brady’s Super Bowl champions over the next 20 years. As one greats career is winding down another great is on the rise. It will be interesting to follow Patrick and what he will accomplish in the coming years. This should be a great Super Bowl this year. The old man against the young star. It’s a story book in the making, and I can’t wait to see what happens next weekend.
