Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m checking out a couple nineties G.I.Joe characters, Headman and Gristle. It seemed like G.I. Joe was being reinvented much like the 12 inch Adventure Team line. This time they took a stand on drug and crime lords. These were well after my childhood days and I thought they looked really cool when I picked them up as a collector. This line brought new D.E.F. Figures like Bulletproof and the Headhunters as well as reviving classic characters like Mutt and Shockwave. Overall I like the…

Welcome to the Outpost. This week I’m getting into the new G.I.Joe Retro 2020 vehicles. 2018 and 2019 posted giant goose eggs for vehicles. There weren’t many in 2020 either, but the 2 that were released are pretty awesome. First up is the Hiss Tank. The Classic 1983 Tank with a cool version of the Hiss Tank Driver. I hesitated to buy this one and eventually ended up with a few. This is a great vehicle and holds up over time as one of the best if not the best Cobra Vehicle…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1986 G.I. Joe Dreadnok Thunder Machine. This is one I had as a kid and it’s one of my favorite vehicles. This is one unique vehicle and it was featured in the cartoon. This one packs some fire power with 2 Gatling guns on the front. The car looks like it was made by Thrasher in his garage using various pieces from junk cars then a few extra pieces for armor all around the car. The color scheme is awesome…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking about G.I.Joe Cobra Motor viper. 1986 was a great year and there were many cool looking figures and vehicles. The Motor Viper was a cool looking figure and came with one of the coolest concept vehicles. Some may argue this is a dumb vehicle and you wouldn’t last 2 seconds in a gun fight. Let’s face it though as bad as Cobra was at shooting G.I.Joe couldn’t hit the broad side of a Flagg either. The Motor Viper is a cool looking figure.…

Welcome to the outpost. Today we are Building the G.I.Joe Cobra M.A.S.S. Device. The 2008 M.A.S.S. device was an awesome release and fortunately I was able to get every set to build this awesome classic device. There were 5 sets released in total to build the device and they all came with figures and a DVD. This was a cool idea and the finished product is really nice. One of the best parts of the DVD packs were all the amazing figures. Set 1 comes with “The M.A.S.S. Device” DVD, a…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1989 G.I.Joe Cobra Frag Viper. This was my last big year for Joes as a kid and this is one I got for Xmas that year. The body of this figure is pretty basic but it works for this guy. The helmet sculpt looks pretty bad ass and the weapons are the main focus of this figure. He has a back pack full of grenades which hook up to the scoop via a hose that is much larger then the…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are talking G.I.Joe Cobra Laser Viper. The first 1990 Laser Viper was a really cool figure. He comes with a cool pack with 2 laser guns on top. He also has a really cool removable helmet. The Laser Viper has a dark grey suit with slight blue, black, and silver highlights. There are a few upgrades, a 2001 that looks nothing like the original. A really cool Python Patrol version of the original, and a 2017 version. This is a cool looking figure but they just tossed in a Sci-Fi…
