G.I.Joe ‘General Hawk’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into an original 1982 G.I.Joe character, ‘General Hawk‘. This is one who has been around and has had many face lifts over the years. Hawk was one of my first figures I got as a kid. It came packaged with one of my favorite small vehicles the M.M.S. This a great version of Hawk and it is one I will always find special. Hawk was revamped in 1986 and blossomed into General Hawk and this is a figure I also got and I love this version as much as the first.

The next upgrade is one I did not have until I started collecting. The 1991 version is really cool and reinvented the jet pack, something Joes really put their pride on using. Many other versions of Hawk came out through the 90s and into the new millennium including modern versions. There is a 2003 twelve inch Duke with a brown shirt that looks great as a 1986 General Hawk. There is a 12 inch version from the live action movie that looks good too.

I’m hoping we get a 6 inch version. I think the 1986 version would look good but the 91 version with the jet pack would be kick ass. Overall Hawk has been a staple character from the comics, shows, to the figures. Hawk has always been one of my favorites right from day one and he remains one of my favorite characters. Which version of Hawk is your favorite? Who loves the original version with the M.M.S.? Sound off below and let us know! Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
