G.I. Joe ‘Stalker’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!
Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at one of the great original G.I.Joe Figures, ‘Stalker‘. Stalker is one of the original 1982 characters and has had several versions since then. I think one thing everyone will agree on is the Hasbro GI Joe team was awesome at creating a second version of a figure that rivaled the original. Stalker V2 is one of the many that is pure gold. I had V2 as a kid and this one is awesome head to toe and the kayak is just even more awesomeness. V3 is a cool version with a electronic pack.
There are several other cool looking o-ring versions that I have a few of. In 2007 there was a modern 25th style, a DVD back version and a few others including a cool 2011 version that I love. Finally there is the 2021 version that looks true to the original version. This figure also has the textured shirt that I love on any figure. There is a 1991 twelve inch figure that has a very similar look to the 1992 3-3/4 inch version.
There is a twelve inch Sideshows Stalker but those are a bit out of my price range so I never got into that line, but they look pretty realistic as a whole. I think Stalker is probably on the table for a 6 inch figure. Hopefully we will start seeing more 6 inch figures but I think it will take a while as the world is still coming out of the pandemic and there are still many companies short employees, which slow everything from production to shipping. Stalker has been a staple character in the cartoons and comics and has stayed a fan favorite over the years. Over all Stalker has been one of my favorite figures over the years and I’m sure I’m not alone saying that. Who loves Stalker? Who can’t wait for a 6 inch version? Which is your favorite version.
