G.I.Joe ‘Star Brigade Armor Tech’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!
Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the G.I.Joe Star Brigade Armor Tech figures. The 1993 Robo Joe is an interesting looking figure. He was very boxy but had more articulation then the 1984 Deep Six figure. The Star Brigade line itself might be an acquired taste for many but I think they are pretty cool. I did not have these as a kid but I came across them as a collector more by chance then anything.
Other figures in the Robo Joe box shape suit include Rock and Roll, Duke, Heavy Duty, Hawk, Destro, and Cobra BAAT. I will agree with anyone that thinks some of the other Star Brigade figures look better like Sci-Fi, Roadblock, or Countdown but these definitely are unique. I do like that they have removable helmets and cool weapons and real space suits are boxy so these are more accurate for walking around in space then some one like Ozone, Astro Viper, or Payload who would probably freeze to death in space.
I love all of these figures and the whole space theme. These are really cool and I would have loved growing up in the nineties and having these as a ten year old. Who loves the Star Brigade line?
