G.I. JOE UNDERAPPRECIATED FEATURING 1994 ‘FLINT’!
Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a G.I.Joe figure that I think is under underappreciated, the 1994 version of Flint. 1985 was a great year and there were a lot of great figures this year. One figure got quite a few versions but this v4 1994 version of Flint seems to be forgotten. This is not one I had as a kid but it is a really cool version. If you are not a fan of the oversized spring projectiles, put that aside along with all the extra weapons, and add a backpack and 1 rifle and you have a perfect figure. This version is perfect for desert ops, Dusty you have a soul mate!
He looks great with the Desert Fox. I did sub him in for some background Sarlacc pit characters but that is a story for another day. If you are into head swaps and kit bashing this Flint head looks great on the original, the original feels a bit off on this 94 version though, but it still works if you really want it to. Overall I rate this as one of the top Flint figures and I would love to see him as a classified figure, as it seems we are going to get a few desert figures in the near future. Who loves this figure? Who got this as their first Flint figure? Share your opinions and stories with us in the comments. Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
