G.I. Joe UNDERAPPRECIATED Featuring the ‘Swampmasher’!
Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at an underappreciated G.I. Joe vehicle the Swampmasher. The 1988 Swampmasher is an interesting vehicle. I did not have one of these as a kid so it wasn’t till around 2015 I discovered this vehicle. I’m not sure if it’s the color scheme or the design that turn people’s noses up at this one, but I personally like this one. Sure an olive green body with black tires may have made for a more realistic vehicle but I think the green and purple work as a Hulk like vehicle.
Maybe this is what went into the design that this was an unstoppable beast. The design is solid for a small one seater. Each axel has a triangular arraignment of tires that are ready to scale any obstacle. The early cartoon had some pretty radical vehicles and this one doesn’t fall far from some of those original concepts. Over all I think this is a really cool vehicle and would be great for some rough terrain. Who loves the Swampmasher? Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
