G.I.Joe ‘Sigma Six Villains’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

April 30, 2021April 30, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, Cobra, Destro, G.I.Joe, Sigma Six, toy collecting, Zartan0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking about some of the G.I.Joe Sigma 6 villains. There are a number of versions of some of the top characters and I have a few that I’ve picked up. Cobra Commander, Destro, Zartan, Firefly, and Storm Shadow are all staple characters in the G.I.Joe world and even though these figures are a bit of an acquired taste, I think they are really cool and maybe even pushed action figures toward the 6 inch world we know today. I really like the looks of…

April 28, 2021April 29, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, NECA, Ninja Turtles, TMNT, toy collecting0 comment

Hello everyone. I’m Train and today I’m going off the rails with Neca’s TMNT Shredder action figure. I grew up watching TMNT but I never had any figures as a kid. As a collector I have somehow stayed away from buying any. I saw this Shredder and picked him up because I thought he would make a great story. This figure looks great from head to toe. He has a ton of detail from the head sculpt, to his six pack abs, right down to the bottoms of his feet.…

G.I.Joe ‘The Dreadnoks’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

April 25, 2021April 25, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, Dreadnoks, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting, Zarana, Zartan0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. I’ve been talking about a lot of G.I.Joe sub groups as a whole lately and there is one group that I don’t believe was ever labeled as a sub group but certainly can be considered one. The group is the Dreadnoks. Zartan is the leader but the first three Ripper, Torch, and Buzzer were a huge part of the cartoon and one of my favorite lines is when they say ‘Ello ‘ello ‘ello, and it is followed up with them getting knocked out with an audios…

G.I.Joe ‘Slipstream’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

April 23, 2021April 23, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Happy Friday everyone. This was a long week for me but it’s time to let the good times roll. Today I’m taking off with the G.I.Joe Conquest X-30 pilot Slip-Stream. Slip-Stream has 4 versions 1986, 2003, 2004, and modern 2008 version. This is one I got for Christmas in 1986 and is one of my favorite jets. I have a few original shells and it was a no brainer to pick up the 2008 version when it came out, I just wished I had grabbed more…

G.I.Joe ‘Red Spot’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

April 21, 2021April 21, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m putting the G.I.Joe 2003 Red Spot in the spot light. He is listed as a laser trooper but I think of the red dot as more of a modern day sniper. That may open up a huge discussion but let’s see what happens. This is a really cool figure with a beautifully textured outfit that makes this figure pop. Along with the solid molded uniform he is equipped with a removable helmet and a ghillie suit that further enhances my theory on Red Spot…

G.I.Joe ‘Night Force’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

April 19, 2021April 19, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, Night Force, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1988 and 1989 G.I.Joe Night Force figures. These were all pretty cool and I know a lot of the figures had toned down colors that were very popular and still are to collectors today. I did not have any Night Force stuff as a kid but I have a lot of them now. 88 had some really cool figures. Crazy Legs, Falcon, Outback, Psyche Out, Sneak Peek, and Tunnel Rat were all nice and anyone who missed the originals…

Which G.I.Joe ‘Pet Teammate’ is your Favorite? Story by Mitchell Smith!

April 18, 2021April 18, 2021 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, G.I.Joe Cartoon, G.I.Joe Comics, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the G.I.Joe Spirit’s pet teammate ‘Freedom’. G.I.Joe was great at incorporating pets into the toy line. Polly is the most famous do to the fact he could talk, so he naturally had a personality that was easy to recognize. Other animals like Order and Junkyard were faithful companions and had solid rolls in the cartoon. Other characters had animals that really only accompanied the action figure such as Croc Master’s crocodile and Voltar’s condor. One of the very first used…
