G.I.Joe ‘COBRA BUGG.’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Today we are talking about the 1988 G.I.Joe Cobra BUGG. This is an odd looking vehicle to me. This one was definitely not modeled after a real military vehicle. There is also a very strange color scheme going on there. With that said this is one awesome Cobra vehicle, once you start seeing the play value. So I’m discussing this as a 12 year old going on 13 in 1988. The first noticeable things are the front 2 cockpits that are quite bubbly.
One side is the controls to the vehicle and the other side is a detachable submarine. This is really cool. The glass rotates up to open up and revel the cockpit and there are 2 fins connected to steer this mini sub. 2 figures fit in this so this is a nice escape pod or attack sub. On the sides there are hydro sleds on either side that are hidden behind two hatch doors. Once the sleds are deployed there are engines underneath that look pretty cool. The rear has a gunners room that you can fit a few figures if needed for transport. This one also packs a lot of firepower with guns, cannons, and missiles. Over all this has a ton of play value. Not the best display piece for a collector, but pretty cool looking vehicle. Who had one of these as a kid? Sound off AFTER THE JUMP and let us know! Be sure to check back for our next discussion.
