G.I.Joe ‘Cobra Trubble Bubble’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. As I have said many times before G.I.Joe has always had awesome vehicles. 1985 was a great year and one small Cobra vehicle really took off. The Cobra Flight Pod aka Trubble Bubble, is one of my favorite small vehicles. This was a really cool concept vehicle and actually had a canopy to supply a bit of protection for the pilot. I never had one of these as a kid but somehow I ended up with a 1985, 2008 white version and the 2010 version. These are really cool and we’re used often in the animated series.

I love the original design. The original has a slim front gun and the modern version has a thick front gun. This I assume was done to make the gun more sturdy but I love the original gun better. It’s sleek and more proportioned to the rest of the vehicle. Outside of that the modern version has hoses that I don’t believe the original has. These give it an added cool feature that kind of ties everything together.

The vehicle is designed well to set on a surface and not fall over. The original has a back peg and the modern has a waist clip. Everything else is pretty much the same. Overall this is just an awesome vehicle and being a smaller vehicle these display easily and you can get several of them in a scene so this is one that could be a cool army builder. Who loves the Trubble Bubble? Does anyone army build these? Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
