G.I.Joe ‘WILD WEASEL’ Discussion by Mitchell Smith!

August 28, 2020August 28, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, Cobra, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m sticking with G.I.Joe pilots and making sure I don’t leave out one of the greatest pilots ever created. 1983 had an awesome jet in the Skystriker and even though there were several Cobra jets in the cartoon 1984 needed a unique rival jet to battle the Skystriker. In comes the Cobra Rattler. Perhaps the number 1 jet ever made. The Rattler was awesome and it was one I had as a kid or at least my brother had it and we shared. Making an awesome jet…

G.I.Joe ‘ACE’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

August 27, 2020August 27, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking the original G.I. Joe fighter pilot. 1982 was an instant success and paved the way for more new exciting G.I. Joe vehicles and figures. The Skystriker is one of the greatest Joe vehicles ever made and the pilot did not and in my opinion, still does not disappoint. Ace was a very unique design. He has a kind of a space look to him. The cartoon version was more of a modern 1983 pilot suit and helmet which there is a really cool version of Ace that…

August 26, 2020August 26, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking 1988 G.I.Joe vehicles as a whole. This year had a lot of futuristic vehicles but there was an awesome line up of staple vehicles. The Warthog was a really cool military based vehicle and came with an awesome SGT. Slaughter with a removable hat. The Rolling Thunder is an awesome vehicle and I am working on a full discussion on it for the near future. The Desert Fox is one I recently did a discussion on and just a cool vehicle all around. The Phantom X-19 is one of…

G.I.Joe ‘Cobra Troopers 82’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m checking out another original G.I.Joe straight arm figure and original character from 1982. Well actually I’m checking out 2, the Cobra Officer and Cobra Trooper. The original villain for G.I. Joe. This was a trooper with a masked mouth and open eyes. Guess they were ready for Covid. These were a cool design back in the day and even now the new 6 inch Cobra Island soldier has a blue uniform and masked face. The 82 figure took different parts and made 2 soldiers with a couple…

THE POP EXPOSE ‘The Umbrella Academy’ By Mitchell Smith!

August 23, 2020August 23, 2020 Serpentorslair StaffNetflix, The POP-EXPOSE, The Umbrella Academy0 comment

The Netflix series “The Umbrella Academy”, is an interesting series based on comics and graphic novels written by Gerard Way who is also the lead singer of My Chemical Romance. There are 2 seasons and I recently was able to watch season 1 and I plan on watching season 2 this weekend. The show starts in 1989 and time travels through different eras. The show has a very…

G.I.Joe ‘Fast Draw’ Discussion By Mitchell Smith!

August 23, 2020August 23, 2020 Serpentorslair Staffaction figures, G.I.Joe, Hasbro, toy collecting0 comment

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into a very unique G.I.Joe character from 1987 ‘Fast Draw‘. Fast Draw is another character that was really cool but did not get developed in the cartoon or comics. This was a year I got a ton of Joes for Christmas and Fast Draw was one of the figures I got that year. Fast Draw is more of a futuristic looking character, and fitting for the year. I loved this figure as a kid the missiles were very cool, the triggers, and his uniform including the helmet.…
