Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. All the preparation and puff it’s gone with a snap of the fingers. This year I tried to be a little more giving. Tried to help those who needed help most and the true meaning of Christmas filled my household this year. I am very blessed and I never take a moment for granted. With that said let’s get down to business. The early days of G.I. Joe were my glory days. From an early time I Loved G.I. Joe and I did…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Countdown to Christmas! Today I’m talking about a piece I have had the pleasure of looking at, but I have never had the pleasure of owning the G.I.Joe Cobra Terrordrome. The Terrordrome is the Cobra Base I never had. Anyone that collects Joes I think would agree that this is one of the, if not the most awesome base in the franchise. This is one of those things that may never get produced again. I would have loved to be sitting around the table with these guys when they thought up…

Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Tonight anyone with clear sky’s will be able to see the great conjunction. I have been fallowing Mars Jupiter and Saturn for the past several months and tonight Saturn and Jupiter will be so close they will be hard to distinguish as one. So in honor of this great phenomenon I’m going to talk about some G.I.Joe Star Brigade. Early on G.I. Joe had episodes in space, but it wasn’t till the nineties that the Star Brigade was formed. I love the exploration of space and have visited the NASA space…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Christmas is among us. This weekend I want to get into one of my favorite years and one of my largest Joe hauls as a child. 1987 was an interesting year for G.I. Joe. There had been a great success in the Joe franchise up to this point and many say that G.I. Joe had peaked and was heading down. This was the year I received the most vehicles and maybe even figures. The top vehicle I got that year was the Mobile Command Center. This is one of my all-time…

Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Today we are discussing 2009 G.I.Joe vehicles. This was a pretty good year. There were some great vehicles on top of a live action movie: “The Rise of Cobra.” This led to many vehicles being released this year. First up from the Rise of Cobra line is the Armored Panther. This is a version of the Armadillo and looks pretty cool. The Crimson Hydra is a cool red version of the 2003 Sky Sweeper. The Cobra Gunship is one I have and looks like a helicopter with no…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Today I’m sticking with cold weather discussions and getting into a G.I.Joe Vehicle I had as a kid and perhaps the second best snow vehicle and the number one Cobra snow vehicle and driver, the 1987 Cobra Wolf with Ice Viper. Not only is this the top Cobra cold weather soldier, but also one of the top Cobra Vipers over all. The original figure is awesome. The uniform is white with just enough accessory to make him pop. He comes with 2 sai’s and a really cool helmet with goggles that…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Today I’m getting into another G.I.Joe cold weather character that I did not have as a kid but oddly enough, but I had the accessory pack with his blue snow shoes that I still have and that is Snow Serpent. The 1985 Snow Serpent was the first Cobra Snow Trooper. Leading up to 1985 there were many snow battles and G.I. Joe had Snow Job and Frostbite so it was only fitting Cobra had a snow-trooper to fight in the cold weather. The original Snow Serpent looks awesome. He is completely…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking about a G.I.Joe figure I did not have as a kid but he is one of my favorite cold weather characters, ‘Sub-Zero‘. Sub-Zero came out in 1990 just on the tail end of my Joe days as a kid. When I started collecting, Sub-Zero was a figure I bought off eBay complete. I like the uniform he has and there is a good number of weapons and accessories that comes with this figure. Surprisingly there is only 1 other version a dark blue one from 1993. I…

Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. 2007 was the launch of the 25th Anniversary modern style G.I.Joe action figures. This was a great year and the new style figure looked awesome. With the success of the 2007 figures came a new wave of 25th style Vehicles in 2008. This year was packed with classic vehicles and pretty much every one was awesome. To kick it off there were a number of Target exclusives including the Ultimate Battle Pack. This came with a Mobat, Red Hiss, and flight Pod. This also came with a number of figures…
