Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Happy Friday everyone. Today I’m getting into one of the most popular G.I.Joe characters from 1982, Scarlett. Scarlett was unique in many ways in 1982. The only women on the team and she had a unique uniform, weapon, and of course she had the scarlet red hair. She has had several upgraded figures but her classic 1982 outfit has always been my favorite. Scarlett has a recent 6 inch figure that is out now and although they never made a 12 inch figure of her I recently custom made one that didn’t…

Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Happy Friday all. Today I’m taking a look at the G.I.Joe Battle Force 2000 vehicles. Back in 1987 the year 2000 seemed like it was decades away, and the futuristic vehicles that combined to make a base was ingenious. As a kid I only had the Dominator. This is a cool snow vehicle that splits into a cool tank and the sidewall of the base. I loved this one and I always wished I could get them all. The Vector jet is probably the most underrated Joe jet.…

Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 1988 G.I.Joe Desert Fox. This is one vehicle I don’t hear much about, but it is an awesome desert vehicle. I did not have one of these as a kid so I look at this one from a collector’s point of view. This is a classic looking vehicle with a bit of a modern spin. The front of the vehicle has a standard driver and passenger seat with a nice classic looking front hood. The back really is what makes…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Hope everyone is having a good summer. Retail stores are finally getting in some new G.I.Joe stock so I know many people are enjoying hunting and finding them out in the wild. There is one Joe that has made a bit of a stink. Version 2 Roadblock in the 6 inch scale. I myself passed on this Joe, but I may pick him up if my Target still has him next go round. This isn’t a horrible figure I think people have turned their nose up at him for the…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. 1986 was a year for G.I.Joe, where it would be hard to top the 1985 lineup. But, this year produced so many great vehicles, it was kind of like MJ’s and the Bull’s first 3Peat. The 2 years had very awesome and unique vehicles and I love both years very much. First up is the Conquest X-30. I had one of these as a kid and I absolutely love it. I wish I would have grabbed a couple more of the modern ones when they went on…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. Today I’m going with the space theme and taking a look at the G.I.Joe 1988 Cobra Stellar Stiletto and the 1993 G.I.Joe Starfighter. This was the same mold but they did an awesome job making this into 2 completely different vehicles. The Stellar Stiletto comes with Star Viper and the Starfighter comes with Sci-Fi. I did not have either of these as a kid but I do have them in my collection now. I love the design of these 2. It is a really cool one manned space shuttle…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost. 1985 is arguably the heyday of G.I.Joe. There were other great years, but yes this is one of the best all time years for G.I. Joe. I have way more as a collector then I did as a kid from this year, but this year paved the way for the years to come and all the great figures and vehicles I would receive as gifts. The A.W.E. Striker has become one of the best small vehicles and this mold was used over and over again. The Armadillo…
Read MoreToday I’m taking a look at Zartan’s sister and brother. Zarana & Zandar were introduced in the 1986 G.I.Joe lineup, and these were 2 figures I did get for Christmas that year. I really loved both figures. They both had a unique look and unique weapons. Zarana played a large roll in the cartoon and sort of replaced Zartan and Baroness as the master in disguise. I thought Zandar could have had a bigger part in the cartoon, but I only remember him having a small part. Zarana was developed into this character that was…
Read MoreWelcome to the Outpost, Summer is cruising right along, I hope everyone is enjoying it as much as possible. 1984 was a nice year for G.I. Joe and it introduced a great cobra character, Zartan. Zartan was a pretty interesting character right from the get go. Not only did he need to keep out of the sunlight, he lived in the swamp, and he had the Dreadnoks under him. Zartan was one of those characters that appeared in a lot of cartoons. He was mysterious and that created a wildly popular character. He did not…
