Introduced in 1983, Destro quickly became a fan-favorite thanks to his unique design, commanding presence, and complex relationship with both Cobra and the G.I. Joe team. Destro, whose full name is James McCullen Destro XXIV, hails from a long line of arms manufacturers. The McCullen clan’s legacy stretches back centuries, providing the world with weapons of war and power. Based in Scotland, Destro operates from his family’s ancestral…
Read MoreStory by Mitchell Smith Welcome to The Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at the 6” Snake Eyes movie figure Night Creeper. I haven’t tracked down a Classified figure to compare yet, but this figure and this line is pretty solid. I’m surprised they didn’t use this style to create other character figures not in the Snake Eyes movie such as Flash or Short Fuze. These figures were about half the cost of Classified and would have led to kids getting into Joes like we did in the eighties and…

Read MoreStory By Mitchell Smith Welcome to The Outpost. Today I’m unboxing my GI Joe Super7 Ultimate wave 2 Baroness. The original Baroness outfit has always been one of my favorites. Although her iconic black outfit is the staple look for the Baroness the blue and gold really makes this version pop. This figure comes with various heads and hands like most of these Ultimate figures do. There are also various weapons and gadgets that come with this figure. Although these figures are a bit pricy if you keep your eye…

Read MoreStory by Mitchell Smith Welcome to The Outpost. There are several talks of the G.I. Joe Classified Iron Grenadier line with the release of the Iron Grenadier trooper, Metal-Head, and the Iron B.A.T. There were many great original 3-3/4 figures in the lineup including the Iron Grenadier troopers that I had as a kid and always loved the look. Today I’m taking a look at The 2007 G.I. Joe Sigma 6 Iron Grenadier. The Iron Grenadiers were originally conceived as Destro’s private army, independent of Cobra. In the Sigma 6…

Read MoreStory by Mitchell Smith Welcome to The Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at one of my favorite GI Joe episodes “Cobra Claws Are Coming to Town”. Everything about this episode is so great and I don’t only watch it at Christmas time. It starts out with Firefly planting a mini Cobra army in the children’s Christmas toy drive trailer. I love the white trailer in this episode and that they are using the Awe Striker in a snow storm to pull it. Then there is an unlikely crew that…
