As a kid my nightly routine after a hard day playing outside for 12 hours, I would come in take a bath, put on my feety pajamas, and settle in to watch the Muppets and the Carol Burnett Show before going to bed. The Muppet Show dropped on Disney Plus recently and I started sifting through some of the episodes. It instantly brought me back to a simpler time. Last week we lost a sports icon. Martin Edward Schottenheimer was born Sept 23rd 1943 in Canonsburg, PA. Marti spent 6 years playing in the NFL and coached from 1974 to 2011. 21 of those years he was a head coach in the NFL. Marti was drafted to the Buffalo Bills in 1965 as a linebacker and won the AFL championship with them. Henry Louis Aaron, legendary Braves right fielder, nicknamed “Hammer” passed away Friday January 22nd in his sleep. He was just shy of his 87th birthday. Aaron who is best known for breaking Babe Ruth’s all-time career home record by hitting 755 total home runs. 33 years later Barry Bonds broke Aaron’s record, but Aaron remains 2nd on the list and Ruth remains 3rd on the list. Another Star Wars legend has passed away. Jeremy Bulloch who played Boba Fett in the Original trilogy passed away Thursday the 17th. Bulloch had a number of rolls over the years including Smithers in the James Bond series and also was involved in the Dr. Who franchise. He also had a cameo in the 2nd and 3rd trilogy of Star Wars.
