Welcome to the Outpost. This week I’m taking a look at the 1995 vehicles. As we all know G.I Joe took and abrupt halt on the 3-3/4 inch figures and vehicles, but did try and launch other lines. They had the Sgt Savage line and the Extreme line. The P-40 Warhawk is a really cool WWII plane. I do have the SGT Savage figures and this would be cool to have. The Iron Panther is a real cool tank, this is another one that would be cool to have. Finally for the…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today has lead us up to one of the most disappointing years for G.I. Joe vehicles, 1994. Although there still was a number of great figures made this year the vehicle lineup was weak. I was heading off to college this year so back in 94 I was rushing frats and chasing girls so I didn’t realize at the time what was about to happen to the greatest franchise in action figure history. So any hoot the 1994 lineup oh yeah baby!!! The Blockbuster is the first up…

Welcome to the Outpost. I’m staying with the classic early eighties G.I.Joe and talking about Cover Girl today. Cover Girl was a cool character with a really cool vehicle. Although Cover Girl only has a handful of figures and maybe is not as popular as Scarlett or Lady Jaye, I think she is one of the great characters of the eighties. The cartoon did not have a lot of back story on this character but she was this sexy military girl who just kind of fit in with the boys. The 1983 figure was very unique…

Welcome to the Outpost. This week we are talking 1993 G.I.Joe vehicles. The 90’s vehicles were very different from the 80s, but there were still some nice unique vehicles that came out. The Ghoststriker X-16 is a really cool jet and it is one I have never had but I have been looking for an affordable one for years. The Shark 9000 is a vehicle I have and I love this one. It may not be a Killer Whale but this one is still fairly large and has as much play value…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today we are discussing the 1986 G.I.Joe Tomahawk. I love helicopters. The Fang, the Dragonfly, and the Mamba are all favorites of mine, but the Tomahawk is the number 1 greatest G.I. Joe helicopter. I had one of these as a kid and I remember sleeping with it I loved it so much. I think it had its own pillow LOL. What an awesome design this is. From the canopy, to the twin rotor blades, right down to the tip of the back cargo door. I remember…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking about Metal-Head’s bestie in the G.I.Joe Dic Cartoon series, Gnawgahyde. This is one figure I had as a kid and one of my favorite figures from this year. He is a Dreadnok, he has awesome accessories, and he has a wild boar. Every accessory was just awesome that came with Gnawgahyde. The rifle, his knife, machete, bow, quiver that is a backpack, and of course his removable hat. The only other version came in the 2011 Dreadnok battle back. At the time this was too expensive and…
