Today I want to discuss the 1989 G.I.Joe Deep Six. This is such a great figure. The colors and the removable helmet are just Awesome on this figure. I actually have several of this one and it is a great army building deep sea diver. Heads are easily swapped and the helmet fits perfectly with many other figures. The air pack with this figure has a lot of detail and he also comes with a unique gun. I thought this one would have been a prime choice for a modern update…

Welcome to the Outpost, today I’m sticking with 3-3/4 inch G.I.Joe characters. Doc was the original medic on the Joe team from 1983. The Original Doc figure came with a stretcher, a flare launcher, and a tan removable helmet that was unique to the other helmets we were used to seeing from 1982. Doc has had a couple upgrades but the best one was the 2008 modern style Doc. This was an upgrade to his original figure and this one was a mail away version. I’m sure this brought back many feelings of growing…

Today I want to get into one of the original G.I.Joe characters and one of my all time favorites, Stalker. This is an awesome character who comes with an extended backstory linked to Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. Stalker was a unique character and the only one to sport camo in the original line up. I had the swivel arm version as a kid that I got second handed so it wasn’t till around 1985 that I got my first Stalker. I did get the 1989 version 2 of him…

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking one more tank. The G.I.Joe Cobra H.I.S.S. II. This is one I had as a child and it was one really cool tank. It was a little bit bigger which allowed this to be a tank and a personnel carrier for Cobra. This tank holds 2 in the cockpit, one in the top cannon, and 4+ figures can go in the rear. This was a cool design. Rather then the cockpit opening from the top it opens from the bottom. The cannon is really…

Welcome to the outpost. I’m going to roll back the clock to 1982 today. Steeler and the 1982 G.I.Joe Mobat are both awesome. Steeler has a very unique helmet attachment and the motorized Mobat was pure gold back in 1982 and still holds up today 38 years later. A relatively simple design brought a lot of happiness and joy to millions who were fortunate enough to have one of these as a kid. The Mobat was used extensively in the cartoon and the comics. If you needed a punch to battle Cobra, Steeler and…

Today I’m going to get into the 2017 G.I.Joe Battle Force 2000 figures. I did not buy any of these but I wanted them really bad. Back in the day the Battle Force 2000 figures were all awesome. As a whole the modern set looked pretty cool. For the price though I thought that every figure should have had a removable helmet and an awesome original head sculpt. From what I can see they kind of chintzed out on this set and I thought they could have been a lot better. I…

Last week I did an article on G.I. Joe Flamethrowers and I forgot one. Blast Off. Well I have a very good explanation why I left him off. I forgot or maybe I never thought he was a flamethrower. With a name like Blast Off I always thought he was Countdown’s Partner. 3-2-1 Blast Off. I always thought he was an Astronaut. He looks like that is what he should have been. He does have a really cool look to him and I love the Helmet. I think the spring loaded projectile is…

Rolling right along, the end of the month of May is quickly closing in on us. Today I’m going to get into the 1985 G.I.Joe Awe Striker. This is such a great vehicle and has been used for countless repaints. I had the original as a kid and I had many great hours of play with it. I ended up trading mine to my best friend for a 1982 Vamp. I don’t regret it because both were just awesome. I guess I had some nostalgia for the first Christmas that I…

Welcome to the Outpost. Another day another dollar. It looks like some people are getting back to work this week, and hopefully things will be back to normal soon. Today I’m going to talk about the G.I.Joe Dollar General 2012 and 2013 figures. The figures were not released with tons of weapons and gear but they were great figures. The best part about them was they were cheap. Like $6.00 cheap in my area. And these were also great for grabbing to do customizing and army build. These were a good seller…
